Community Baptist Church was organized over sixty years ago for the purpose of bringing glory to Jesus Christ, God's Son. Though our ministry has grown and changed over the years, our Master and our mission have remained the same. Having been founded in the midst of the twentieth century, Community Baptist faces the challenges of a new millenium. What a blessing to know that Jesus Christ and the Word of God are the same yesterday, today and forever!

Pastor Steadman announces his move to Baptist World Mission
Our Senior Pastor, Dr. Bud Steadman, announces his acceptance of the call of Baptist World Mission of Decatur, Alabama, to serve as its next Executive Director. Pastor Steadman notified the church family the first week of February through direct contact with the deacons and staff, as well as by letter to the church membership. They began their new ministry in early April. The Steadmans give praise to the Lord for their 13 years of blessed ministry among the wonderful people of Community.
The pulpit committee, made up of the deacon board of Community, will be working to discern whom the Lord would have them present to the church as a Senior Pastor candidate. They have set up a Pulpit Committee News and Communication page to inform the church of their progress.
