Pastor Bud Steadman
Senior Pastor
Dr. Bud Steadman was born in Tennessee into a nominal Christian home. Though his family was relatively unchurched when he was a child, at the age of 10 he heard the gospel and was saved through the Bible school outreach of a Baptist church. After being called to preach through personal devotions as a teenager, he attended Bob Jones University where he received the degrees of B.A. in Bible and Master of Ministry. He has also been honored by Ambassador Baptist College with a Doctor of Divinity degree.
He is married to the former Ruth Ann Bauman of New Mexico, whom he met in Bible college. The Steadmans are thankful to the Lord for their three children - Sarah, Nathan, and Hannah.
Pastor Steadman has held assistant pastorates and senior pastorates before moving to the South Bend area in 1996 when he began his ministry as senior pastor of Community. In addition to his pastoral ministry, the Lord has given him opportunities to serve on a number of mission boards and travel to various mission fields around the world. He also enjoys a leadership ministry in Christian education, serving as president of the Indiana Association of Christian Schools.

Pastor Mike Thomas
Youth Pastor
Pastor Mike, as he is known by his teens, has a passion that young people would love God wholeheartedly and be grounded in the truth of His Word. His method? Expository teaching and preaching, and an abundance of interaction. Prior to being called to Community's youth ministry in 2004, he completed a bachelors and masters degree in pastoral studies from Bob Jones, and also served as a music/youth pastor. Pastor Mike and his wife, Jennifer, thoroughly enjoy their ministry to teens and have a tremendous burden to reach them for Christ, disciple them from His Word, and direct them to serve Him with their lives.
